What To Do
Using your base as The Old Vicarage Dolfor, there is so much to see and do.
At the top of your list should be Powis Castle, Gregynog Hall, Llyn Clywedog and the Hafren Forest, the Centre for Alternative Technology, the Elan Valley, Lake Vyrnwy, the Kerry Ridgeway, the Red Kite feeding stations or simply just marvel at the sheer beauty of Mid Wales. Mid Wales is the home of the Cambrian Mountains which contain some of the most beautiful, unspoilt landscapes in Europe, including rare natural habitats and wildlife.
Mid Wales can offer great on and off road cycling. There are numerous walking trails, the closest being the Kerry Ridgeway.
A trip down the Teme valley to Knighton, Preteigne and Kington is always a joy. Visit the Small Breeds Farm Park & Owl Centre
